I am beginning to have a larger appreciation for black & white (b&w) photography. In the past, I wasn't a fan, except in special circumstances, where an artist did something really really wow different. However, I have begun to see more and more b&w work that truly interests me. And while I enjoy the work of amateurs I see here, it is truly the Pros that have convinced me to take a second look. I have truly been interested in alfred-georg, WeissChristian, abclic, ABrito, photport, Daniel West, and Vitaly-Sokol.

I guess you could say this was the Event that truly drove home how far dA has fallen since I got here several years ago. That was the day Pelicanh (now Squid 326) decided to eject himself and his work from dA. That was this past January 28th, 2012. That was the last straw. Before that it was ~deadfishstudios. And ~FbErk, ~KnaveKarina, *NicotineDesire, ~surfrat13. They all stopped posting. Their work was being stolen and the quality and type of work being uploaded was not where they wanted to be. here's a quote from Michael Helms (Pelicanh/Squid326) "I feel like an old fart in an arcade full of gamers.
